De-escalation for Coffee Shops

Workplace safety is a growing concern for those in a retail coffee setting. Operating public spaces where interactions with upset customers and people experiencing mental health crises have become more and more common has become increasingly challenging, and all retail coffee businesses need a safety plan in place to meet the moment.

De-escalation for Coffee Shops has been developed to give baristas, managers, and coffee business owners the tools necessary to safely and effectively move through difficult interactions, by learning self-awareness and physical and verbal communication skills that have been tested and implemented in coffee shops all over the US. This course has been taught in multiple settings and refined to give everyone in a retail coffee business the confidence to keep their spaces safe.

*This workshop has an additional registration fee. Please add it to your badge prior to the event (and receive early bird pricing) or stop by the registration counters onsite.
