In this hands-on, small-group workshop, participants will dive deep into the essential elements of dialing in for the perfect espresso shot, exploring the key variables that impact espresso extraction.

Through demonstrations and guided practice with expert trainers, attendees will gain practical experience in the complete dialing-in process—from selecting the ideal grind size and adjusting dose and yield, to tamping with consistent pressure and managing extraction time.

While focusing on foundational techniques, this session will also touch on how to adjust for different roast profiles, ensuring consistently high-quality results across a range of coffees.

Participants will learn to taste and calibrate each shot, identifying signs of under-extraction and over-extraction, and will leave confident in making necessary adjustments to achieve balanced, flavorful espresso.
