Anita Tam
Anita Tam, originally from Hong Kong and trained as a classical musician, discovered her passion for coffee through a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and attention to detail. With a family background in logistics and ceramic production, she founded Slow Pour Supply, a company renowned for its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation. Slow Pour Supply distributes prestigious brands such as Origami Japan, April, Sibarist, WPM, and 2-WayCup, while continually curating a selection of premium coffee equipment. Anita views specialty coffee as an art form and is driven by a passion to enhance the coffee experience for both professionals and home brewers alike.
As the inventor of the original three-spout latte art pitcher, Kimera, Anita dedicated years to developing this unique design to overcome challenges she encountered during the early days of her business. This pitcher reflects her expertise and deep connections within the latte art world.
Anita Tam is a prominent figure in the U.S. coffee competitions community, having served in various judging and organizational roles, including U.S. National Competitions Coordinator, U.S. Latte Art Championship Chair, and U.S. Barista Championship Lead Technical Judge. She is frequently invited to speak on panels about innovation and specialty coffee and actively supports competitors and the broader coffee community by sponsoring champion brew gear through Slow Pour Supply and promoting educational events across the region.
Committed to Diversity and Inclusion: Anita Tam enriches our conference with their experience as an Asian woman business owner.
