Kenneth Davids
Kenneth Davids has observed, documented, described and participated in the specialty coffee movement continuously since its inception over 45 years ago. He has published four books on coffee: Coffee: A Guide to Buying, Brewing & Enjoying (over 250,000 copies sold in five U.S. editions), Espresso: Ultimate Coffee (nominated for a James Beard award), Home Coffee Roasting: Romance & Revival (editions in English, Chinese and Korean), and his latest, 21st Century Coffee: A Guide, described by Donald Schoenholt as “the masterpiece of a coffee master.” He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of CoffeeReview.com, and his influential coffee reviews and articles have appeared there regularly for the past 28 years. He has written for most major industry print magazines, and his workshops and seminars on coffee sourcing, evaluation and communication have been featured at professional coffee meetings on six continents. He is Emeritus Professor of Critical Studies at the California College of Arts in San Francisco.
