Our Values

Our Values

What we’re doing to make our event (and planet) a little greener and give back to the local community.

Sustainability Graphic

Our dedication to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles encompasses a wide array of initiatives that span before, during, and after Coffee Fest, as well as within our own organization, Clarion Events. This commitment is evident in our long-standing focus on diversity, the implementation of our attendee code of conduct, our on-site philanthropic endeavors like Clarion Cares, and our ongoing efforts to reduce waste at our events. We wholeheartedly embrace ESG principles and actively incorporate them into all facets of our operations and events. Our aim is to minimize our environmental impact, promote inclusivity and diversity, and contribute positively to the well-being of local communities.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Our team and vendors are committed to reducing environmental impacts, both now and in the future, at every Coffee Fest event we host. We proactively seek ways to minimize the environmental footprint of our events by implementing sustainable practices in logistics, transportation, venue energy sources, waste management, food and beverage waste, and the materials displayed throughout the event. Additionally, we provide attendees and exhibitors with the opportunity to purchase carbon offsets to reduce their own carbon emissions.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Coffee Fest, our mission is to create a transformative journey that embodies sustainability at every step. Our steadfast dedication to driving meaningful change is closely aligned with our valued partners, suppliers, venues, and dedicated team members. Together, we are shaping a more sustainable and vibrant future from start to finish.

SOCIAL

In collaboration with our customers, we are dedicated to bolstering the communities in which Coffee Fest events are hosted. We engage in partnerships with local organizations and universities, as well as extend our support to international non-profits. Throughout the year, Coffee Fest actively endeavors to establish lasting value and foster community assistance.

CAFE FEMENINO FOUNDATION

The Café Femenino Foundation, established in 2004 by Garth and Gay Smith, aims to empower women and their families in coffee-growing communities worldwide. Initially inspired by witnessing the lack of rights and opportunities for women in these regions, the foundation operates as a non-profit organization, relying on grants to fund various community projects. These projects range from health and sanitation initiatives to income diversification and education programs. By directly engaging with local producers and organizations, the foundation ensures that donations have a tangible and meaningful impact. Since 2004, the foundation has made significant strides in reducing poverty levels, combating abuse, and promoting gender equality within coffee communities. Through donations and spreading awareness, individuals and companies can contribute to building a brighter future for coffee-producing families worldwide.

Coffee Fest proudly celebrates its partnership with the Café Femenino Foundation, which is once again presenting the A Bid for Hope silent auction series at our trade shows. This collaboration provides exhibitors with a fantastic opportunity to increase their presence at the events while also raising crucial funds to support the foundation's grant initiatives. Together, Coffee Fest and the Café Femenino Foundation work to fund various projects requested by women's coffee associations, co-ops, and communities worldwide. These projects encompass a wide range of initiatives, including education trainings, health programs, sanitation projects, community gardens, and more. Through our continued partnership, we strive to make a positive impact in coffee-growing regions and empower women to thrive in their communities.
